WHY HOZEN?

I’ve always been drawn to the essence of HOZEN, particularly the unique canteen bag I picked up from one of their earlier collections. It’s amazing how this bag still turns heads everywhere I go. What captivates me most is the meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of their products, from the materials used to the thoughtfulness behind each design. The innovative shapes of their bags are incredibly appealing, but what truly stands out is the rounded strap—a design element that feels both elegant and functional. The durability, practicality, and timeless appeal of their line are unmatched. On top of that, I’ve witnessed the brand’s growth firsthand and am thoroughly inspired by its visionary founder, Rae.

For me, it’s all about comfort and versatility. I often pair Levi’s with a crisp white linen tee and sneakers. Jumpsuits are a staple in my wardrobe since they’re perfect for work—stylish yet practical. On weekends, I love slipping into easygoing dresses, especially with Northern California’s mild climate. My style leans toward casual, but I do enjoy experimenting with subtle details like layering or accessorizing.

IDEAL DAY?

My ideal day involves spending time with my family at a secluded beach. Whether it’s an untouched stretch along the northern Marin coastline or a serene spot on Cannon Beach in Oregon, these moments bring me immense joy. Picture us lounging on cozy blankets, indulging in snacks, playing fetch with my dog, and soaking in the soothing sounds of the ocean—it’s pure bliss.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR DOWN TIME?

At the moment, downtime feels like a distant memory, but if I ever had some, I’d probably dive into a pile of magazines while sipping on a warm cup of coffee. Alternatively, I’d head out for a long hike with my furry companion, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Travel has always been a profound source of inspiration for me. Even road trips within driving distance can spark creativity. Exploring new places fuels my curiosity, whether it’s hunting for antiques or discovering emerging artists and craftsmen. Recently, trips to San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City reignited my passion for discovery. Walking over eight miles a day during my last visit to CDMX opened my eyes to endless possibilities.

FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?

There’s something magical about an empty beach—the solitude, the vastness, the simplicity. It’s where I find peace and clarity.

GUILTY PLEASURE?

Peanut M&Ms. I don’t stand a chance against them—I always finish the whole “share” size without remorse.
