WHY HOZEN?

I’ve always been drawn to HOZEN’s unique approach to design. It’s not just about creating something that looks good—it’s about creating something meaningful. The attention to detail, from the choice of materials to the functionality of each piece, really speaks to me. I remember getting one of their first canteen bags, and even now, years later, people stop me to ask where I got it. It’s more than just a bag—it’s a conversation starter. I’m particularly fond of the rounded straps—they’re not just practical but also add a touch of elegance. Beyond the design, what truly inspires me is the story behind HOZEN and its founder, Rae. Watching how she built this brand from the ground up has been incredibly motivating.

Comfortable yet polished—that’s my style. I usually pair Levi’s with a crisp white linen shirt and classic sneakers. For work, I love jumpsuits because they’re versatile and practical, especially on set. They’re both stylish and functional, which is key when you’re juggling multiple roles. On weekends, I lean towards easy dresses, thanks to the mild climate here in Northern California. Overall, my wardrobe reflects a casual but put-together vibe.

IDEAL DAY?

For me, an ideal day would involve spending time outdoors with my family. Picture this: a secluded beach in northern Marin County or a peaceful afternoon at Cannon Beach in Oregon. It’s all about being surrounded by loved ones, enjoying the simple pleasures—snacks, games, and the sound of the waves. There’s something magical about the ocean breeze and the feeling of disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR DOWN TIME?

Currently, downtime feels like a distant memory, but when I do have some free time, I love indulging in quiet moments. Whether it’s sipping coffee while flipping through magazines or going on long hikes with my dog, these activities help recharge my batteries. It’s those small, personal moments that keep me grounded.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Travel has always been a major source of inspiration for me. Even a short road trip can feel like a grand adventure. Exploring new places, meeting local artisans, and discovering hidden gems are all part of the thrill. Recently, trips to San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City were particularly inspiring. Walking miles each day through vibrant streets filled with art, culture, and history recharged my creative spirit. Each place leaves its mark, and I carry those experiences with me wherever I go.

FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?

It’s hard to pick just one, but if I had to choose, it would be an empty stretch of beach. There’s something about the vastness of the ocean and the solitude of an unspoiled shore that brings peace to my soul.

GUILTY PLEASURE?

Peanut M&Ms. I can’t resist them—I always end up eating the whole “share” size in one sitting. It’s a guilty pleasure I fully embrace!
