In the first two months of this year, the total value of retail sales rose by 15.2%, while the total volume of sales rose by 9.5%. During the period, the volume of sales of miscellaneous consumer durables increased the most, recording a year-on-year increase of 84.4%; the sales volume of furniture and fixtures fell by 15.6%.

The revised total value of retail sales in January this year was 43.2 billion yuan, up 14.9% year-on-year; total sales volume was up 9.1%.
