Tenth China (Dalang) Woolen Garment Design Contest Starts

Organized by China Wool Textile Association and Dalang Town People's Government of Dongguan City, Dongguan Maozhi Fashion Designers Association and China (Dalang) Wool Textile Products R&D Center co-organized the theme of Fashion Fashion • The “The 10th China (Dalang) Knitwear Design Competition” has officially accepted the registration form on May 30, 2012. The Organizing Committee of the China (Dalang) International Wool Knitwear Fair has been holding a wool knitwear design competition since 2003. The aim is to create a national wool knitwear design talent selection platform, which will provide talents for enterprises, teachers and students, and society for clothing schools. All walks of wool knitwear design lovers provide opportunities for learning, communication, and promotion. The opening of the 10th China (Dalang) Woolen Garment Fashion Design Competition is expected to involve more talented people who are interested in engaging in fashion woolen garment design and to display their talents on the stage of this competition. The contest will be finalized on September 12, 2012. The preliminary competition will be held in mid-September. The grand final will be held in Dongguan Dalang on November 5th. A professional jury will be invited to participate in a professional jury. Appraisal, costume production process, model fitting, final stage show and other assessments, and finally the winners of each award are selected.

Contest theme: "Fashion Weaving • Awakening"

Work requirements:

1. 5 sets of original fashion collections embodying the theme of “Fashion Weaving • Regaining”

2. With a clear sense of the times and cultural tastes and practicality

3. Unique style, fine production, apparel accessories

Manifestations:

Sweater design draft: color effect map (27cm X 40cm) (painted on the same paper) on the back with style drawing process description, work name and design concept, and yarn, fabric sample (8cm X 8cm). Finalists need to make wool knitwear to enter the final selection with dynamic performances.

Eligibility:

Teachers, students, designers and hobby sweater designers from all over the country (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions) can register to attend

Gold Award: 50000 RMB, Trophy, Certificate

Silver Award: 20000 RMB, Trophy, Certificate

Bronze 3: 10,000 RMB, Trophy, Certificate

10 outstanding awards: 2000 yuan, certificate of merit

Evaluation of works:

1. The judges: authoritative experts, scholars and critics of the apparel industry at home and abroad

2. Initial evaluation: Initial evaluation of entry design drafts and issuance of finalists notices in mid-September 2012

3. Final: The night of November 5, 2012 was held in Dalang, Dongguan. The finalists must bring the woolen knitwear to the venue designated by the Organizing Committee before 3:00 PM on November 3rd.

Entry Instructions:

1. Entries will be provided for the design artwork. Entries must be original and unpublished. If there is a publicly published or plagiarized entry, the entry will be disqualified.

2. The design draft of the competition is not refundable. The deadline for submission is September 12, 2012 (subject to the manuscript received on the 12th day).

3. On the back of the manuscript, please specify the name, gender, age, mailing address, contact phone number, and fax number (printing is appropriate). Attach a 2-inch color photo.

4. The finalist will return to the Dalang Compartment for a round-trip train ticket and the accommodation expenses will be borne by the Organizing Committee during the competition in Dalang. The finalist will also be awarded a clothing production fee of RMB 1,200.

5. All entries shall be non-refundable. The organizer has the right to publicize, publish and exhibit all the entries. Gold, silver and bronze garment entries will be submitted to the organizer.
