Designer Jiang Qionger takes charge of "Landscape" Chinese Hermes

With his hair tied behind his head, dressed in black, Jiang Qiong's body reveals the elegance of Asian women. As the new artistic director of the "China Hermes"-"Up and Down" brand launched in Shanghai on Thursday, her only dream is to create a splendid Chinese high-end craftsmanship.

This family background makes this young woman begin to master Chinese art very early. The young mother from Shanghai, who was in her thirties, repeatedly stated that she had begun to learn painting at the age of two. When she was a teenager, she learned more than a few famous artists, including Cheng Shifa, who taught her traditional Chinese paintings, and Han Tianheng, who taught calligraphy.

Being proficient in Chinese art is one of the reasons that led her to love craftsmanship. She finally got what she wanted when she was responsible for the Hermès project in recent years. Paolo Reversi, who once visited the studio with the designer, said that “it is amazing that she has the ability to make craftsmen continue to make new appearances and surpass themselves.”

After graduating from the prestigious Shanghai Tongji University, she studied at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris, France from 2001 to 2004, which allowed her to grow. She spoke fluent French in an interview with AFP, "I learned the freedom of the soul there."

This dual artistic culture engenders endless creative inspiration for her artistic creation after her return to China. She founded the D Design Gallery, a fusion of East and West.

Located on the banks of the Suzhou River, this art gallery is both a creative space for painting, furniture and jewelry design and a place to display Chinese antique furniture and modern works.

Her reputation is growing. Exhibitions have been held in France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States. In 2006, she led the Chinese Pavilion for the first time to participate in the International Design Biennale of St.

In the same year, Hermès China invited her to design a window for the brand's specialty store in China.

A year later, she met with Brand President Patrick Thomas at a dinner party. The latter is looking for suitable candidates to create "China Hermes." Jiang Qionger recommends creating a high-end Chinese style brand.

As President Hermes said, both sides "love at first sight." Jiang Qionger closed his creative design gallery in the same year and started full-time investment in the establishment of top and bottom brands.
