Shanxi Province issued the 2011 silkworm industry production guidance plan

Business Club April 1 hearing March 29, Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce issued the 2011 annual production plan of the silkworm industry in our province. According to the plan, the number of mulberry silkworm species released this year will be 150,000, silkworm cocoon production will be 6,200 tons, and mulberry silk will be 190 tons.

The Shanxi silk industry is mainly concentrated in Jincheng, Changzhi and Yuncheng areas. At present, Shanxi Province already has a number of leading enterprises in the integration of trade, industry and agriculture, and industrialization. At the same time, it has relatively complete pre-, mid- and post-production service agencies, which basically form mulberry, seed production, sericulture, silk reeling, silk spinning, Woven silk, silk printing and dyeing, clothing and home textile production of silk production industry chain.

In 2010, due to the high price of hafnium, the average price of the complex reached 1,432 yuan/50 kilograms, an increase of 334 yuan/50 kilograms from the previous year, which drove the enthusiasm of silkworm farmers to cultivate silkworms. The existing mulberry garden area in Shanxi Province is basically stable at 175,000 mu.

Due to a substantial increase in production of silkworm cocoon in 2010 and the recovery of raw material stocks of enterprises, the high price of silk reel stimulates the enthusiasm of planting mulberry silkworms. If there is no major weather change or natural disaster, it is expected that the supply and demand of cocoon raw materials will be relatively balanced in 2011.

It is understood that this year, Shanxi Province will also change the acquisition of Xianchan Qualification Certificate and reeling silk (spinning) enterprise production permit, the current renewal work has started.
