In 1957, Givenchy launched two fragrances specifically for Audrey Hepburn: "Le Départ" and "L'Interdit." These perfumes were not just scents, but a tribute to her elegance. Alongside this, he began working on something even more special—a clothing line inspired by her.

He was particularly moved by Hepburn’s portrayal of Princess Anne in "Roman Holiday" and her deep bond with Gregory Peck. This inspiration led him to establish GANECO Design Studio in Italy in 1986, combining three names or surnames. To avoid confusion with his own brand, Givenchy rebranded it as JANECO in 1987. The logo featured a mermaid tail, symbolizing good fortune and grace, inspired by an old European legend where a mermaid-shaped coin was carried as a token of luck.

In 2004, Ms. Liu Zhenyi, Chairman of Jiakang Garment, visited Europe and met Jack Williams, the chief designer of JANECO Italian Design Studio, at a café on Magritta Street in Rome. After learning about the brand's story and philosophy, she decided to bring JANECO to China. After five years of discussions, in 2009 Mr. Liu successfully introduced JANECO to the Chinese market, bringing its elegant and romantic style to a new audience.

Since then, JANECO has continued to embody the essence of classic elegance and romanticism. The brand remains true to its roots, offering timeless designs that speak to the heart.
